Camp Bluegrass to kick off July 12-17

Camp Bluegrass will be held at South Plains College on July 12-17. The camp features classes and workshops for those involved, and the public is welcome to come to one or more of their daily concerts.The camp was started by Alan Munde and Joe Carr, who were SPC instructors at the time.

Attorney General Ken Paxton has secured a $45 million settlement with Block, Inc., the company behind Cash App, resolving allegations that the company misled customers about platform safety and failed to provide lawful protection from fraud.Cash App, which was launched by Block, Inc.

Sundown city council to meet July 14

A regular meeting of the City of Sundown city council will be held on July 14 at city hall at 5:30 p.m. The meeting is expected to include a statement from the mayor regarding appropriate conduct at city meetings, a budget work session, as well as citizen appearances.

Sundown Oil Patch Day set for Aug. 8

The Sundown Chamber will be hosting the annual Sundown Oil Patch Day on Aug. 8 at Sunset Park, complete with fun, food and local vendors.Events will kick off with a parade at 9:30 a.m. with lineup at 9 a.m. , followed by volleyball, cornhole and ragball tournaments.
