County commissioners hold regular meeting

The Hockley County Commissioner’s Court met on Monday to discuss a series of ordinances and approvals.During the meeting the court considered taking action to accept a letter of resignation from constable Edith J. Kinney, Precinct Four, which would ultimately come into effect on Jun 30.

Trump issues ultimatum to Iran

President Trump issued an ultimatum to obliterate Iran’s power plants if the Strait of Hormuz isn’t reopened in the next two day. Trump retreated on Monday giving Iran another five days.

United States Postal Service faces funding issues

The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is on track to run out of funds to pay its workers and vendors within a year and as early as February 2027, and cause interruptions in mail service.USPS ended fiscal year 2025 with a net loss of $9 billion.
