SPC alumnus reaches final round of 2026 Guitar Center Drum-Off

Jake Ward, a 2023 graduate of South Plains College’s commercial music program, will compete in the final round of the 2026 Guitar Center Drum-Off on Aug. 20 at the Fonda Theatre in Hollywood. Ward will compete against five other finalists from across the nation.

Sundown ISD releases CEP meal policy

The Sundown Independent School District announced today it will operate the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2026-2027 school year.

Whiteface CISD releases CEP meal policy

Whiteface Consolidated Independent School District will be implementing CEP under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for School Year 2026-27. Under CEP, all students receive breakfast and lunch at no charge.This year household do not need to submit an application.
