Hockley County Soil and Water Conservation District is taking orders for windbreak, shade and fruit trees. The order deadline is March 5, 2024. Residents are encouraged to order early as supplies are limited and will be filled on a first come serve basis.

David Atkinson is looking to earn the people’s vote for Hockley County Commissioner Precinct One in March. From Dickens County, at the age of 15 he got involved with the fire department. Once Atkinson was out of high school he transitioned and got into the EMS field.

Trial work is also on-going at the park and may require dock closures throughout the next couple of weeks. The dock is also ADA compliant similar to the dock built at Lobo Lake.
