Hockley County has announced the dates, times and locations for voting for the 2024 March Primary. Early voting will began February 20 and concludes March 1. Locations include: Hockley County Elections Office located at 911 Austin St., in Levelland.

TRAINING MAKES PERFECT - The Levelland Police Department engaged in their regular Stop Stick training for new officers. Officer Omar Diaz worked on deploying Stop Stick’s successfully throughout several different scenarios Monday afternoon at the Levelland City Park.

2/3/2024 - LEVELLAND Deputies responded to the 100 block of Holly Street in reference to an assault that took place in the county. A report for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Member was made.

LPD Report

2/15/2024 - 300 block of 2nd Street - 6:06 P.M. An officer responded to the area in reference to a welfare check. An arrest was made for Public Intoxication. 2/14/2024 - 800 block of Avenue D - 8:52 P.M. An officer was dispatched to the area in reference to a disturbance.

2/15/2024 - DISPATCHED 12:58 P.M. - CLEARED 1:50 P.M. HOCKLEYCOUNTY The LFD received a call in reference to a carbon monoxide detector activation in the 200 block of Lincoln in Smyer. Dispatch advised that Smyer Volunteer Fire Department had been paged twice with no response.
