Governor Abbott launches community tourism program

Governor Greg Abbott has launched the new Tourism Friendly Texas Certified Community program through Travel Texas in the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and Tourism and invited interested Texas communities to submit a letter of intent to begin the certification process.

Amy Wood earns 2024 NSBA seat

Amy Wood, founder and CEO of Flint Avenue, in Lubbock and resident of Levelland has been elected to serve on the Board of Trustees for the National Small Business Association (NSBA) for 2024.
REGISTERED ELECTION OFFICIAL - Hockley County Elections Administrator Jody Rose received his certification as a Registered Election Official in the state of Texas Wednesday. Rose was part of the Texas Association of Election Administrators Mid-Winter Conference in Amarillo. The certification is a 32-hour voluntary course that is completed over a two year period.
