LPD addresses golf carts on streets

With fuel costs rising, the Levelland Police Department (LPD) has recently received calls asking if residents can use golf carts for transportation around town.According to LPD, golf carts can be operated only on certain roadways, but specific laws and safety requirements must be followed.

Kay remembered for 1986 NAIA championship game

It has been 40 years since Shelly Kay from Whitharral, Texas played in the 1986 NAIA women's basketball tournament held in Kansas City, Missouri.Queens in the sixth annual tournament held by the NAIA to determine the national champion of women's college basketball.

New THC restrictions to go into effect

New restrictions on THC will go into effect shortly and will no longer be legal in Texas.Recreational marijuana in all forms has been banned since 1931, but a 2019 definitional change allowed people to use hemp if it contained less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC.
