Hancock reports $4.7B in state sales tax revenue

Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock today said state sales tax revenue totaled $4.7 billion in April, 9.8 percent more than in April 2025.The majority of April sales tax revenue is based on sales made in March and remitted to the agency in April.

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) has filed a preliminary Long-Term Load Forecast for 2026–2032.Customers with the largest energy usage were currently data centers, cryptocurrency mining, industrial, and oil and gas processes, according to ERCOT.

South Plains College graduation ceremonies set for May 8
