Mexico releases water to Texas following agreement

The United States and Mexico have reached an agreement following a longstanding water dispute, with Mexico agreeing to release 202,000 acre-free of water.In 1944, the U.S. and Mexico formed a treaty in which the U.S. agreed to deliver 1.5 million acre-feet of water per year via the Colorado River.

Women have historically been outsiders in politics, legally barred from voting until the 20th century and subsequently handicapped in running for office by lack of campaign funds and exclusion from the inner sancta of political parties.
The Levelland Fire Department sold Breast Cancer Awareness shirts in October and asked Mayor Breann Buxkemper to choose an organization for that money to benefit. Buxkemper chose the Inside Out Foundation which equips those in need with aesthetic products and emotional healing services designed to restore their character, and all at no cost to clients. A check was presented to the organization at the city council meeting on Monday.
