Lobos, Loboettes both fall before Christmas break

The Levelland basketball teams wrapped up their pre-Christmas break play, with the Lobos falling 83-37 to Lubbock Christian at home this past Thursday and the Loboettes falling 70-39 to Liberty on the road this past Friday.

Texans go 2-0 on Las Vegas road trip

The South Plains College men’s basketball team traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada to compete in the SLCC Holiday Tournament at Bishop Gorman last week, going 2-0 on the trip.The Texans took down the College of Southern Nevada, 90-81, and Salt Lake Community College, 81-74.

Roughnecks beat Sudan, 49-36, improve to 7-5

Last week the Sundown Roughnecks went on the road to face the Sudan Hornets and came away with a 49-36 win.The win improves the Roughnecks to 7-5 on the season, while dropping the Hornets to 4-5.

Lady Lopes dominate, Antelopes lose in matchups versus Sands

The Whiteface Lady Lopes and Antelopes both squared off against each respective Sands team on Dec. 19, with the Lady Antelopes dominating the Lady Stangs, 56-21, and the Antelopes dropping a heartbreaker against the Mustangs, 63-62.

Coach Bell earns 300th win as Loboettes beat Maidens

This past Tuesday night, the Levelland Loboettes basketball team hosted and defeated the Lake View Maidens, 83-16, marking Loboettes Head Coach Jacob Bell’s 300th career win.The milestone win for Coach Bell also improves the Loboettes to 14-4 this season and 1-0 in district play.

Antelopes fall to Leopards, 57-51, after near comeback

The Whiteface Antelopes basketball team fell to the New Home Leopards this past Tuesday at home, 5751, dropping to 5-2 on the season.The Antelopes trailed by 14 at one point and got the lead down to five points in the fourth quarter, but the comeback fell just short.
