5/30/2024 - DISPATCHED 10:03 A.M. - CLEARED 10:17 A.M. -LEVELLANDThe fire department received a call of a possible gas meter leak in the 300 block of Douglas Street. A fire unit was dispatched to the location where they found an Atmos crew already addressing the situation.
DEVASTATING STORM – The Levelland community is recovering after going through a severe thunderstorm early Wednesday morning. Large hail, heavy rain and winds projected between 100-120 miles per hour wreaked havoc for Levelland residents and businesses. Emergency relief efforts have been ongoing since Wednesday. Levelland community shows resolve

The City of Levelland and its community members continue to show their resolve following the devastating destruction brought on by Wednesday mornings storm.Around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, Levelland received large hail, heavy rain and winds reported to be between 100 and 120 miles per hour.

TWC launches summer SEAL program

The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is announcing the launch of this year’s Summer Earn and Learn (SEAL) program for students aged 14-22 with disabilities. Through work-based learning, SEAL participants earn a paycheck as they learn new skills and gain professional experience.
