The Whiteface Antelopes charged into this past Friday’s game against the O’Donnell Eagles with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 49 points), bagging yet another district win, 62-8.
The victory puts the Antelopes into the playoffs for the district title against the Bordon County Coyotes on Friday.
Whiteface dominated the first quarter, 38-0, with touchdowns from Jaxson Hodge on a 21 yard rush; a reception by Ryland Jones on a 12-yard pass from Luke Gresham, and extra points from Ivaniel Gandara; a Jose Flores reception on a one-yard pass from Isaak Solis with extra points from Ivaniel Gandara; a Jaxson Hodge 13-yard rush with extra points by Jose Flores; a 10-yard fumble return by Ryland Jones with extra points from Jose Flores. The second quarter, the Antelopes again held their ground allowing the Eagles a single touchdown while putting another 24 points on the board, with touchdowns coming scored by Jaxson Hodge on a 52-yard rush and extra points by Ivaniel Gandara; another Jaxson Hodge rush for 17-yards and extra points by Ivaniel Gandera; and a Cesar Chaves 41-yard reception from Isaak Solis and extra points from Ivaniel Gandara.
The game ended at half time, landing another big victory for Whiteface.
The Antelopes tallied 12 rushes for 187 yards; three receptions for 54 yards on three of four passing attempts; 22 tackles, one sack; and two penalties for 20 yards.
Rushing leaders included Jaxson Hodge with six rushes for 113 yards and four touchdowns; Luke Gresham, two rushes for 60 yards; Cesar Chavez, one rush for 11 yards; and Jose Flores, one rush for three yards.
Passing leaders were Isaak Solis with two completions on three attempts for 42 yards and two touchdowns; and Luke Gresham with one completion on one attempt for 12 yards and one touchdown.
Top receivers were Cesar Chavez with one reception for 41 yards and one touchdown; Ryland Jones, one reception for 12 yards and one touchdown; and Jose Flores, one reception for one yard and one touchdown.
Defensive leaders included Jaxson Hodge with 12 tackles; Isaak Solis, five tackles and one assist; Jose Flores, three tackles; Ryland Jones, two tackles and two assists; Luke Gresham, two tackles and one sack; Cesar Chavez, one tackle and one interception for 53 yards; and Cash Crutcher, one tackle and one assist.
