Football viewing line-up for Thanksgiving

While Thanksgiving turkeys, pecan pies and family gatherings are a common tradition, football be at the top of the list for hardcore sports fan on the festive holiday, which is of course preceded by the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The 2025 holiday will see both college and NFL football games on the schedule.

The NFL Thanksgiving Day games are all shared between FOX, NBC, and CBS. FOX, NBC, CBS, and ABC will get multiple college football Thanksgiving games.

The Green Bay Packers at the Detroit Lions will kick off at 1 p.m., followed by the Kansas City Chiefs at the Dallas Cowboys at 4:30 p.m. ET and then the Cincinnati Bengals at the Baltimore Ravens at 8:20 p.m. ET.

The lone college football game on Thanksgiving is Navy at Memphis at 7:30 p.m.

For sports fans avoiding the Black Friday shopping frenzy, the Chicago Bears will play the Philadelphia Eagles at 3 p.m. ET.

Black Friday will feature 13 college football games throughout the day, including the annual rivalry game between the University of Texas and Texas A&M at 7:30 p.m.

Other games on the schedule include Arizona vs. Arizona State; Army vs UTSA, Ole Miss vs. at Mississippi State; Utah vs. Kansas; Iowa vs. Nebraska; Ohio vs. Buffalo; Kent State vs. Northern Illinois; Air Force vs. Colorado State; Georgia vs. Georgia Tech; San Diego vs. New Mexico; Boise State vs Utah State and Indiana vs. Purdue.
