PACK grinds out tough tournaments

Last weekend, the Levelland High School tennis PACK competed and grinded out many noteworthy finishes against stiff competition, with the Varsity team competing at the Sandies Cup in Amarillo and the Junior Varsity team competing at Big Spring.

In Amarillo, the Varsity team faced several 5A and 6A teams, which wouldn’t detour Nathan Ellis, who secured the Consolation Championship in the Gold Boys Singles Bracket.

Angelina Rivera and Isabel Canales also prospered, finishing third place in the Open Girls Doubles Bracket.

On the JV side of things, Elena Guajardo led the way, securing the Girls Singles Consolation Championship. Other standouts included the Girls Doubles duos of Brynlee Montgomery and Payton Barton, and Abril Perez and Kimberly Chariva Campos, both of who qualified for the Consolation Finals.

The PACK will be back in action over the weekend as both teams will compete in the Snyder Invitational before a break from competition next weekend for Spring Break.
