Following the conclusion of all the 4A District 5 basketball teams’ seasons, the All-District honors have been announced, and several Lobos and Loboettes athletes earned recognitions.
For the Lobos, junior forward Graham Gibbs was named to First Team All-District and also All-District Academic. Sophomore guard Bryson Golightly was named to First Team All-District and Bentley Sepulbeda was named to Second Team All-District.
Senior guard Anthony Gonzales, junior forward Ethan Salazar and junior guard Kane Rice all received an All-District honorable mention.
For the Loboettes, sophomore guard Brook’lyn Cornish and senior guard Presley Smith were both named First Team All-District.
Freshman guard Jill Lopez and junior guard Zanity Sanchez were both named Second Team All-District, and junior guard Brooklyn Escobar received an All-District honorable mention.
Cornish, Escobar, Lopez, Smith and Sanchez were also all named to the All-District Academic Team, along with teammates Makaylyn Dominguez, Carleigh Delgado and N’ya Washington.
