Aguirre & Luevano place first at SPC tennis tournament

The Morton High School tennis program competed in a tournament this past Thursday at South Plains College, coming away with some great finishes.

In the Varsity Mixed Doubles, Khloe Aguirre and Adrian Luevano placed first to win the Tournament Championship, and in the Junior Varsity Girls Doubles, Natalie Hernandez and Frances Alvarado won the tournament’s Consolation Championship.

Following the conclusion of competition, Morton Head Tennis Coach Sheroke Meyer reflected on her entire team’s performance.

“I’m super proud of how the team performed today. I saw a lot of improvement, and I’m excited to see how we continue to improve over the next few weeks before district,” Coach Meyer said.

They’ll be back in action on Thursday, once again at South Plains College, before a bye week and returning on Mar. 26 at Levelland High School.
