The Ropes Lady Eagles downed the visiting Smyer Lady Cats 65-36 last Tuesday in UIL high school girls’ basketball action.
Ropes took a 7-0 lead early and never looked back. They led 17-7 at the end of the first quarter and 38-14 at half-time.
The score at the end of three periods was 58-20.
Allie Wilson led the Lady Eagles with 21 points. Ava Grace Falls had 13. Tatum Melton had 11.
Heather McNabb had nine points. Campbell Latta had six, Katie Rhoads had three and Bree Stumbo had two.
Meagan Smith was the only Lady Cat in double figures with 13 points. Mollie Norman had eight. Aubrie Arteaga had six. Ella Kirkland had five. Vannah Jourdan and Rylee Riedel had two each.
The Lady Eagles are in the Breckenridge tournament this weekend while the Lady Cats are in the Nazareth Tournament.
