Roughnecks, Roughettes earn blowout victories over Lubbock Titans

The Sundown Roughnecks and Roughettes basketball teams faced off against the Lubbock Titans at home this past Friday night, with both teams securing blowout victories.The Sundown boys won 62-30 to improve to a 6-4 record, while the girls won 60-40 to improve to 10-7 overall.

Eagles win Childress Tournament

The Ropes Eagles basketball team won the Childress Tournament Championship this past weekend, going a perfect 4-0 in tournament play.The Eagles started with a 49-47 win over Iowa Park, led by Kade Franklin with 24 points.

The Whiteface Antelopes basketball team took on the West Texas Tornadoes this past Tuesday night at home, easily handling them 72-29.The Antelopes were fir ing on all cylinders in the blowout win as they had 25 assists as a team, while shooting 52% from the field and 33% from three-point range.

The Ropes Eagles football team recently closed their season out, losing to Gruver 23-13 in the Regional Round of the playoffs.Regardless of how it finished, the Eagles still had one of their best seasons going 11-2 and winning the District, Bi-District and Area Championships in the process.
