Wanting to adjust the top of the path and straighten out the lower section, dirt work was completed last week. Levelland Main Street Program names Facade Grant recipients

The Levelland Main Street Program is excited to announce the project recipients of the 20242025 façade grants.Façade grants focus on the exterior work of storefronts (visible to the public) on commercial buildings and upper story residential buildings in the Main Street area.

Hockley County emergency notification signups continue

Levelland-Hockley County Emergency Management is urging residents and business owners to register for weather related and emergency notifications to stay informed and alerted in case of emergencies.Residents are encouraged to go to RUAWARE.US to register for Hockley County Alerts.

HCSO Investigator Tillman helps in Hill Country floods

As many public safety personnel across the state continue to lend their aid to those affected in the Texas Hill Country floods, Hockley County Sheriff’s Investigator Tillman spent several days in the area helping.“I got into this line of work to help people.

7/5/25 – SUNDOWNDeputies were dispatched to the 1500 block of South Hockley Street in Sundown in reference to criminal mischief.7/24/25 – ANTON Deputies were dispatched to East 1st Street in Anton in reference to a theft that had already occurred.

LFD Report

7/2/25 – 10A.M. – HOCKLEY COUNTYThe LFD were dispatched to a second wreck near Highway 114 and Owl Road. Units arrived to everyone out of their vehicles. The LFD were advised by DPS they could clear the scene and return to the station.7/2/25 – 8:30A.M.
