The annual Levelland Sip & Swirl event is roughly two weeks out and tickets are currently available for purchase.There are two ticket options (you must be 21 or older to purchase a ticket): VIP ($100) and General Admission ($45).General Admission begins at 6 p.m. and the event lasts until 9:30p.m.

City of Levelland names interim LFD fire chief

Patricia Byars-Faulkner has been tasked with serving as the Interim Fire Chief at the Levelland Fire Department (LFD) as the City of Levelland begins their search for the new fire chief.Byars-Faulkner, born in Lubbock, said she started her fire service career at the Dallas Fire Department in 1989.

LHS honors local first responders

This past weeks theme for the Levelland Lobos match up against Lake View was centered around honoring local first responders.All first responders were encouraged to attend Thursday’s USA themed pep rally along with the football game held at Lobo Stadium on Friday.

SPC letter of interest deadline, Oct. 3

The South Plains College (SPC) Board of Regents are still accepting letters of interest with the intent to fill the Position Two vacancy spot within the group through the appointment process.The board is now accepting letters of interest for the position until October 3 at 4 p.m.

Voter registration deadline Oct. 7

The October 7 deadline is approaching for the for the November Election.The deadline is 30 days prior to the November 5 election which means community members must be registered by that day and the office must have a correct address by that day.
