Texas Tech had nine of its football players inducted through the NFL draft, including star defensive end David Bailey and quarterback Behren Morton.Texas Tech tied for third place in colleges that had the most players drafted, breaking the previous school record of six, back in 2015.

Texas ranks 27th on highway systems

Comptroller’s office sends out first school voucher notices

(The Texas Tribune) The comptroller’s office started notifying parents on April 22 about whether they can participate in Texas’ voucher program.More than 42,600 students will receive award notices through April 24, Acting Comptroller Kelly Hancock said in a statement.

SPC presents ‘Little Shop of Horrors’

South Plains College Theatre students will perform Little Shop of Horrors at the Helen DeVitt Jones Theater on the Levelland campus. The free show will start at 7:30 p.m. each day from April 29 to May 2. Reservations are encouraged but not required.
