Fire Department Report

Jan. 8Fire Department dispatched to the 2000 block of Hwy 114 regarding a gas leak. Upon arrival, Atmos was on scene and advised someone ran over the meter. Fire crew plugged the pipe and Atmos stated a crew was arriving to crimp the pipe.

MLK holiday business closures announced

In Levelland, Texas, all non-essential government offices, post offices, and banks will be closed on Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Day, which is a federal and state holiday. Most private businesses, including retail stores and restaurants, typically remain open.
