Fire Department Report

Nov. 20Fire Department dispatched to the 800 block of Ave H in regards to a smoke detector that had gone off for 30=40 minutes in an unknown apartment. Area was checked and no alarm was found, smoke or indication of fire. Scene was cleared and responders returned to the station.

Texas advances ‘The Gate’ coastal project

The state of Texas is partnering with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Texas GLO and Gulf Coast Protection District to advance the nation’s largest coastal protection project.

Levelland city council meeting set for Dec. 15
