New state laws to take effect on Jan. 1

Several new Texas laws will take effect in the upcoming year and will be effective on Jan. 1, 2026.The Texas Responsible AI Governance Act (TRAIGA), which creates a regulatory framework for AI and prohibits its use for certain purposes.
