Texas Tech University System Chancellor Brandon Creighton imposed restrictions on how faculty discuss race, sex, gender identity and sexual orientation in classrooms and introduced a new course content approval process, underlining that instructors could face discipline for not complying.

Heseman gives thumbs up to LISD students

Dr. Donald Heseman, superintendent of Levelland ISD, has officially finished his first semester here in Levelland.Over the past six months Heseman has felt so much love and compassion from the community. Heseman is so excited as to where the school district is headed.

City council approves board appointments

Centennial committee holds organizational meeting

The Centennial committee held a meeting on Tuesday to discuss plans for the upcoming 2026 Centennial celebration that will be held in Levelland.Tentative plans show the event kicking off on April 11, 2026 and integrating mini celebrations for the rest of the year.
