The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has extended the state financial aid application priority deadline to Feb. 15 for the 2025-2026 application cycle due to delays with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).The standard annual deadline is Jan.

Quail surveys indicate promising Oct. 26 season opener

Quail hunting season in Texas kicks off Oct. 26, and the annual Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) roadside survey indicates an upward trend in population numbers. Improved habitat and scattered but timely rainfall provided a boost for bobwhite and scaled quail.

Members of the Las Fidelis Study Club met on October 8th,2024 at 11:30AM in the Skyview Restaurant in Lubbock. The ladies enjoyed a meal of assorted dishes including desserts prepared and served by the Texas Tech students majoring in Restaurant and Hotel Management and Culinary Arts.
