Why is the voter turn out so low in our county? It looks like, as near as I could tell, that only about 30% of registered voters actually cast a ballet in this months election.Our votes determine everything that is important to us.

Xcel Energy addresses wildfire investigations

The Texas A&M Forest Service and its investigators have concluded that power lines ignited both the Smokehouse Creek fire and the Windy Deuce fire.The Smokehouse Creek Fire has burned nearly 1,700 square miles and worked its way into Oklahoma.

3/6/2024 - DISPATCHED 4:40 P.M. - CLEARED 5:16 P.M. HOCKLEYCOUNTY The LFD was dispatched to the intersection of FM 300 and Gusher Road in reference to a grass fire. The fire was out prior to the arrival of fire personnel but the group focused on hot spots before returning to the station.

Levelland High School’s 2023 El Lobo Yearbook was chosen as an honorable mention. LHS students showed exceptional examples of theme, covers, photography, and page design in last year’s yearbook.
