MORTON STANDOUTS - This year the Lubbock Avalanche selected Morton standouts for their 2024 Baseball super Team! Coach of the year- Gary McLendon: McLendon continued Morton’s athletic success with a deep playoff run. Morton reached the Region I-1A final, falling to eventually statechampion Ira. After a second-place finish in district, Morton rattled off three playoff wins, including a dramatic three- game series win over Nazareth in the region semifinals.
