Levelland Lobos win against Greenwood Rangers at home

The Levelland Lobos hosted the Greenwood Rangers this past Tuesday night for their third game of the season where the Lobos won 60-39.

The Lobos came into the game ready to go as they took a commanding 15-8 lead over Greenwood at the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter is where Levelland had the most points they scored in the quarter all game with 20, while holding Greenwood to only 12 points, extending the teams lead 35-20 at the end of the half.

Coming out of the halftime, Levelland outscored the Rangers again 9-6, extending their lead once more making the score 4426.

For the final quarter of the game Levelland put the game away as the team scored another 16 points while the Rangers were only able to put up 13 to make the final score of the game 60-39.

Two Lobos led the team in scoring in Eryk Jones and Anthony Gonzalez with 10 points a piece. Elijah Jordan had nine, Graham Gibbs had six, Ethan Salazar had five, Ozzie Solano, Jose Muro and Gage French all had four a piece, Gavin French and Kyson Niblett both had three a piece and Eli Randol finished the game with two.

The Lobos shot for 53% from the free-throw line in their contest while going 44% from the field.

Levelland outrebounded the Rangers 37-to-29 in the game as they would also lead the turnover category with 14 Lobo turnovers and 12 Ranger turnovers.

The Levelland Lobos progress to 2-1 on the season as they get ready to take on the Tulia Hornets this Monday on the road at 1:30 p.m.
