Commissioners approve reports, resolutions

The Hockley County Commissioner Court met on Monday to approve bills, video transcription software, reports and a resolution.

Commissioners approved, following a discussion, the Rev.com AI video transcription software for the district attorney’s office. The program transforms conversations, meetings, audio recordings, and videos into actionable text.

Commissioners approved numerous reports as submitted including the 2025 3rd Quarter Financial Report from the treasurer’s office, district clerk, county auditor and Justice of the Peace , Pct. 1,2,4 and 5, as well as the September 2025 fire runs as submitted by the city of Levelland.

Resolution 2025-87, the Texas Department of Agriculture, Texans Feeding Texans for the Home-Delivered Meal Grant Program, Authoring County Grant, Program Year 2026 for $937.50 to the Hockley County Senior Citizens Association was approved.

In other action, the commissioners accepted the resignation of Craig Workman, Pct.1, effective immediately.

Concerning the Interlocal Agreement between Hockley County and the City of Ropesville, commissioners approved the agreement for road maintenance.

In other business, commissioners approved advertising for bids for cleaning Mallet Event Center & Arena as well as taking action to approve Ad Valorem tax refunds and updating credit card policy.

Commissioner also approved a request for a road crossing for Beryl Oil and Gass, LP at Boston Road and Atlanta Road in Pct.3 and then USA Road in Pct. 4
