Grand jury hands down 12 indictments

The Hockley County grand jury met on Nov. 12 and handed down seven indictments for various charges including evading arrest, assault on a public servant, manufacture and/or deliver controlled substance, possession of controlled substance, tampering with evidence, unauthorized use of motor vehicle and evading arrest with motor vehicle.

Josheph Shaw, DOB May 12, 1988, was indicted for evading arrest, intentionally fleeing from a police officer using a motor vehicle.

Earl Hughes, DOB Sept. 9, 1980, indicted for possession of controlled substance.

Barnabas James Mota, DOB June 12, 1991, indicted for possession of controlled substance.

Jeremiah Morin, DOB Dec. 3, 2004 indicted for assault on a public servant.

Ryan Lee Garcia, DOB Jan. 24, 1983. indicted for manufacture and/or delivery of controlled substance and tampering with evidence.

Michael Webb, DOB, Feb. 9, 1983, indicted for unauthorized use of motor vehicle and evading arrest.
