A favorite among country music fans in Levelland, Will Banister will be performing at the Wallace Theater on Jan. 31.
The traditional country singer and songwriter will be performing his George Strait–inspired style and authentic honky-tonk music that was inspired by such artists as Merle Haggard, George Strait, Hank Williams, and Brooks & Dunn, blending the timeless feel of classic country with standout original songs, delivering a performance that captures everything audiences love about country music’s most enduring era.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Will back to Levelland for his first performance at the renovated Wallace Theater,” said Executive Director Alycyn Keeling. “Will has such a strong following in West Texas and Eastern New Mexico, and his authentic classic sound is a perfect fit for our stage and community. His traditional style and connection with the audience will make for a memorable experience. We hosted Will a few years ago while we were still under renovation, so we’re excited to bring him back to the restored Wallace for what will be a real treat for country music fans.”
“I’m really excited to be returning to the historic Wallace Theater on Jan. 31,” said Banister. “West Texas has always been great to me, and I can’t wait to see so many familiar faces in Levelland for a night of authentic country music. I’ll be performing some of my favorite songs I’ve released and some brand new never heard songs! It’s going to be a special night, and I hope everyone will come out and join us.”
Banister is a traditional country singer-songwriter from Portales, New Mexico, who features traditional instrumentation, including fiddle and steel guitar. Banister performed the opening song, “Find a New Home,” for Clint Eastwood’s 2021 film Cry Macho and has toured extensively in the U.S. and internationally, including performances across the U.K. and Europe.
