Commissioner’s Court set for April 6

The Hockley County Commissioner’s Court will hold a regular meeting on April 6.Commissioners are expected to hear the monthly public assistance report and an annual report from Tylyn Rushing, president of the Hockley County Child Welfare Board.

U.S. Gas prices continue to climb

U.S. gas prices jumped past an average of $4 a gallon for the first time since 2022 again as the Iran war continues to drive fuel prices up worldwide.According to motor club AAA, the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline is now $4.

United Supermarkets to undergo changes

United Supermarkets will implement system and equipment upgrades beginning Wednesday night at its Levelland location. Upgrades will be made to the store and the gas station.Brand new fuel pumps will be added to the station. Old ones will be removed and replaced.

Local churches to celebrate Holy Week and Easter

Local churches will be celebrating Easter Sunday, April 5, with services and activities open to anyone who does not have a church home.Church on the Rock of Levelland will be hosting an Easter Sunday service at 9:30 a.m. and an afternoon service at 11:15 a.m.

City’s Centennial Celebration set for April 11

Plans are being finalized for the City of Levelland Centennial Celebration. April 11 will be a day of history, food, entertainment, fireworks, and fun.The celebration will kick off downtown with the Centennial Parade. Parade line-up will begin at 9 a.m. The parade will start at 10:00am.
