During Monday’s Levelland City Council meeting, Justin Balderas, Executive Director of the Levelland Economic Development Corporation (Levelland EDC) was praised for his recent accomplishments.
Balderas presented the 2024 Top Gun Award at the High Ground of Texas Annual Membership Meeting. The gathering was held in Amarillo, October 30, 2024.
The High Ground of Texas Top Gun program was initiated to recognize those High Ground members who continually represent the organization and the region in a positive light, going beyond the call of duty, going the extra mile when assistance is needed and providing the leadership needed to raise the High Ground to the highest level.
Balderas has been with Levelland EDC since 2022.
He has served on The High Ground of Texas Board of Directors since 2021 and was recently elected as Vice-Chairman.
“This year’s Top Gun, Justin Balderas, has consistently displayed his support and regionalism and his professionalism has added tremendous value to our organization,” says Kasey Coker, Executive Director of The High Ground of Texas. “Justin’s steady, calming presence have already left a lasting mark on The High Ground of Texas organization. He is always willing too step up and represent the region with unwavering dedication and he demonstrates what it means to serve. In addition to begin selected as a Top Gun Award recipient, Balderas was also re-elected for an additional two-year term which began in October for the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC) which is governed by a 24-member board and an eightmember executive committee.
