Funeral services held for Frank Mata Jr., 23
Frank Mata Jr., 23, passed from this life on March 31,2025. Visitation was held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4,2025 at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral Services took place at Krestridge Funeral Home on Saturday, April 5,2025 at 10:00 a.m. Interment followed in the Sundown Cemetery.
Frank was born April 5,2001 in Levelland to Frank Sr. and Arcelia Mata. He grew up in Sundown and graduated from Sundown High School where he played football, basketball and baseball. After high school, Frank made the brave and amazing decision to serve his country in the United States Army. He was stationed at Fort Hood where he was a tanker. After three and half years Frank was honorably discharged from the service with a heart condition. He spent the rest of his life working in the oilfield, playing ragball with his friends, meeting the love of his life and most importantly being an amazing son, brother and a great man.
He is survived by his parents, Frank and Arcelia Mata; siblings, Mercedes Mata, Gordon Mata and Michael Mata as well as his fiancé, Vianzae Garcia.
