A memorial service for Milton Bilbrey, age 92, of Levelland, Texas, was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel in Morton, Texas. Chaplain Brandon Cruz of Ropesville, Texas officated.
Milton died Sunday, April 13, 2025 in Lubbock,Texas.
He was born January 22, 1933 in Crossroads, New Mexico to Wayman Pete and Dessie Fay (Dickinson) Bilbrey. He married Cleta Juanice Cooper on November 28, 1991. Milton attended school in Bledsoe and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.
Following military service, Milton engaged in farming in the Bledsoe area. He also worked in the oil field in the Bledsoe and Tatum areas. Milton loved to square dance. He was a humble, hard-working, compassionate and gentle man, and he instilled these same values in his children, Jeffery and Jetahn. Milton had great affection for the children and grandchildren that came in 1991, with his marriage to Necie Gresham, whom he adored.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Necie; his parents; one brother; and one sister.
Milton is survived by his children, three brothers, three sisters, stepchildren, numerous stepgrandchildren and and great- grandchildren.
