Consuelo Martinez Rodriquez, 91, was called home to be with our Lord, Friday, May 16, 2025. A visitation was held at 9 a.m., Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Head Duarte Funeral Chaple in Levelland. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, May 19, 2025. Interment followed in the City of Meadow Cemetery in Meadow.
Consuelo was born to Isaac and Maria Guzman Martines on August 25, 1933 in Yokum, Texas. She married Graviel Rodriquez on July 11, 1955 in Rochester, Texas. Her hobbies included crocheting, sewing, cooking, gardening, thrifting, feeding stray animals and spending time with all her grandchildren. She was a member of Park Drive Baptist Church of Levelland.
She was preceded in death by her parents Isaac and Marai Guzman Martinez, sisters Eloisa Guzman, Lille Cordova, Ofelia Garza, daughter Novelia Rodriquez, brothers Clemente Martinez, Raul Martinez, Anselmo Martinez, Ruben Martinez, Jose Martinez and Bennie Martinez.
She is survived by her spouse of 73 years Graviel Rodriquez of Meadow, Daughters Alice (Jack) Nickles of Wolfforth, Irma (Steve) Becker of Cooper, Crystal (Lawrence) Knight of Lubbock, and Nina (Sam) Lucero of Levelland, sons Dimas (Irma) Rodriquez and Bernabe Rodriquez both of Levelland and Oscar Rodriquez of Lubbock, 14 grandchildren, 12 great gran children, sister Adelita :Lita: Alonzo of Meadow and a host of nephews and nieces.
