The Hockley County Commissioners’ will be holding a regular meeting Monday, August 11, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Hockley County Courthouse.
Agenda items include: Read for approval the minutes for the regular meeting held on August 4; Read for approval all monthly bills and claims submitted to the Court dated through August 11; Hear an update from the county treasurer concerning Certificates of Deposit; Consider and take necessary action concerning Texas A&M AgriLife, Wes Utley's request for out-of-state travel to Iowa and Illinois for 4-H projects; Consider and take necessary action to approve the County holidays for 2026; Consider and take necessary action to approve the 2026 Safety Incentive Program for Hockley County full time employees;
Consider and take necessary action concerning the request of the Hockley County Sheriff's Office for the court to declare inoperable out-of-date items as worthless salvage property; and approve the disposal of said items; Review the July 2025 fire runs as submitted by the City of Levelland; Discussion and potential action concerning approval of the Application to Request Use of Courthouse Lawn as submitted by the AOA Worship Band to hold 'Back to School Worship/Praise Night' on August 14 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.; Consider and take necessary action to approve road crossing for Triple G Utilities, LLC on Horseshoe Road located in Precinct 2.
