Hockley County 4-H members competed in the Food Show, Food Challenge and Livestock Quiz Bowl. On Monday, at the Food Show, Kade Gregory was the Senior Food Show Reserve Champion. Other members competing were Tori Johnson, Sarah Gray and Adeline Gregory. The Whitharral Consumer Decision Making team won fourth place and reasons. Team members included Tori Johnson, Sarah Gray, Gemma Lee, Grace Fawver, Adeline Gregory, Cameron Johnson, Bradley Gray, Kade Gregory and Colt Parkinson. On Tuesday in the Food Challenge, Junior teams placed first, second and third, with the intermediate teams placing first and second in healthy dessert; and the senior team placing first. The Livestock Quiz Bowl saw the junior team place second.
