Juanita S. Bihl, a cherished member of the Bledsoe community, passed away on Feb. 4, 2026, in Levelland, Texas. Born on Feb. 16, 1949, in Morton, Texas, she grew up surrounded by a large family, fostering a sense of togetherness that she carried throughout her life.
Juanita dedicated her life primarily to being a homemaker, straddling the dual roles of a devoted parent and an industrious custodian. Her unwavering commitment was evident in the love she poured into raising her children and the joy she found in watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. On September 13, 1965, she married her beloved husband, Lorenzo Bihl, in Morton, embarking on a journey filled with love, family and happiness.
A lifelong member of Bledsoe Baptist Church, Juanita found solace and joy in gospel music, often sharing her passion by singing in church alongside her friends and community members. She treasured her upbringing in Bledsoe and the relationships forged with her many siblings and cousins, which formed the foundation of her strong familial bonds.
Juanita is lovingly remembered by her husband, Lorenzo Bihl of Bledsoe; her children, Lawrence Bihl, Larry Bihl, Robert Bihl, Richard Bihl and wife, Cecila Bihl, all of Bledsoe, and Ruben Bihl and wife, Rachel of Whiteface; and her daughter, Priscilla Bihl of Bledsoe. She is also survived by her sisters, Toni and husband, David Bihl of Whiteface, France Huerta of Levelland, and Eloisa and husband, Albert Sepulbeda of Morton. Juanita held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren: Eric Bihl, Lawrence Chase Bihl, Cassandra Bihl, Ruben Bihl Jr., April Bihl Flores, Melanie Bihl, and Brandon Bihl, as well as her great-grandchildren: Valerie Grace Gonzales, August Flores, Austin Flores, Amari Flores and Antonio Flores.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Juanita Sepulbeda, as well as her siblings: Arthur Sepulbeda, Ramon Sepulbeda Jr., Teresa Marquez, Alfred Sepulbeda, Louisa Garcia and Lupe Sepulbeda.
Visitation was held Feb. 10, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Krestridge Funeral Home, located at 505 Austin Street, Levelland, TX 79336. The funeral service took take place , Feb. 11, at 1:00 p.m. at Bledsoe Baptist Church, 403 S Adams St, Bledsoe, TX 79314, with interment to follow in the Morton Memorial Cemetery.
Juanita S. Bihl leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family, her spirit forever etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
