SPC track & field shines at home meet

The South Plains College track & field program hosted the SPC Alumni Elite Invitational at the SPC track complex this past Friday, and they posted several notable times and marks at the meet.

In the men’s 100-meter dash, Carlton Siwela placed fourth with a time of 10.44. In the men’s 200-meter dash, Zion Miller placed second with a time of 21.67 and Isaiah Gamble placed third with a time of 21.69.

In the women’s 100-meter dash, Camio White placed fourth with a time of 12.01, and in the women’s 200-meter dash, Cheffonia Houston placed fifth with a time of 25.39.

In the men’s 400-meter dash, Joshem Sylvester placed first with a time of 45.79, and in the men’s 800-meter run, Yassine Bounasri placed first with a time of 1:47.69.

In the women’s 800-meter run, Jennifer Lozano placed third with a time of 2:16.95, and she’d also place fourth in the women’s 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:58.89.

In the men’s 1,500-meter run, Dennis Cheruiyot placed first with a time of 3:51.67. In the men’s 5,000-meters, Abdirisak Saidgurhan placed first with a time of 14:48.98 and Ylies Mihoubi placed third with a time of 15:15.01.

In the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase, Alison Guaman Tisalema placed first with a time of 11:47.84.

In the men’s 110-meter hurdles, Jamison Lewis placed second with a time of 14.23 and William Ndiba placed fourth with a time of 14.66.

In the women’s 100-meter hurdles, Ta’Nae Henderson placed fourth with a time of 14.40 and Violette Bray placed fifth with a time of 14.87.

In the women’s 400-meter hurdles, Nour Rahou placed second with a time of 58.44 and Morgane Lenoir placed third with a time of 1:00.45.

In the men’s 4x100-meter relay, the Texans relay of Quinton Gordon, Kyle Lawrence, Omar James and Loukas Rangasamy placed second with a time of 40.14.

In the women’s 4x400meter relay, the Lady Texans relay of Morgane Lenoir, Nour Rahou, Cheffonia Houston and Camio White placed first with a time of 3:42.84.

In the men’s 4x400-meter relay, the Texans relay of Carlton Siwela, Joshem Sylvester, Demari Caldwell and Zion Miller placed first with a time of 3:07.11.

In the men’s high jump, Logan Mennel placed fourth with a jump of 1.87 meters (6’-1.5”). In the men’s pole vault, Diego Constantino placed first with a vault of 4.70 meters (15’-5”) and Haden Judd placed second with a vault of 4.60 meters (15’-1”).

In the women’s pole vault, Olga Lapuzova placed second with a vault of 3.70 meters (12’-1.5”), and in the women’s long jump, Leticia Ouaba placed first with a jump of 5.77 meters (18’11.25”).

In the men’s triple jump, Jacob Thompson placed fourth with a jump of 13.21 meters (43’-4.25”), and in the men’s shot put, Abdelkader Gardam placed fourth with a throw of 12.23 meters (40’-1.5”).

In the women’s triple jump, Leticia Ouaba placed first with a jump of 12.44 meters (40’-9.75”) and Ta’Nae Henderson placed fourth with a jump of 11.18 meters (36’-8.25”).

In the women’s shot put, Kahllah Bailey placed first with a throw of 13.62 meters (44’-8.25”) and Suerena Alexander placed second with a time of 12.74 meters (41’9.75”).

In the men’s discus, Abdelkader Gardam placed fourth with a throw of 46.02 meters (151’), and in the men’s hammer, Niklas David placed fifth with a throw of 48.81 meters (160’2”).

In the women’s hammer, Kahllah Bailey placed third with a throw of 45.87 meters (150’-6”), and in the men’s javelin, Noah Simmons placed third with a throw of 50.04 meters (164’-2”).

In the women’s javelin, Suerana Alexander placed first with a throw of 42.81 meters (140’-5”), Charlotte Domas placed third with a throw of 36.77 meters (120’8”) and Violette Bray placed fourth with a throw of 26.66 meters (87’-6”).

Following the meet, SPC track & field will be back in action this Thursday through Saturday at the Joe Meeker Classic & Multi at West Texas A&M.
