LISA MITCHELL
Lisa Renee Mitchell, 62, of Levelland, Texas, passed away on March 29, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas.Lisa was born on Oct. 8, 1963, in Hico, Texas, to Tommy and Janis Mitchell. She lived a life marked by love, resilience, and strength. A devoted Christian, Lisa believed in Jesus Christ as her Savior, and she extended forgiveness, grace, and mercy to others.
Lisa had a true servant's heart, whether she was working as a hairdresser or caring for others. She had a deep passion for working with special needs children, showing compassion, patience, and love in a way that made a lasting impact on those she served and their families.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Mitchell, and her son, Cole Gibbs.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Krista Edwards (Justin); her mother, Janis Mitchell; her stepmother, Lynette Mitchell; her cherished grandchildren, Dylan Gibbs, Devin Gibbs, Destiny Gibbs, and Cole Edwards; her sister, Lee Ann Edwards (Larry); and her brother, Joe Mitchell (Beverly); along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. Lisa's greatest joy was found in her family, and the love she shared with them will remain her legacy.
She will be remembered for her soft heart, her incredible strength through life's challenges, and as a fighter for the underdog and those less fortunate. Her life reflected compassion in action, standing up for others and loving people well. Her faith gave her peace and hope, and it is that same hope that comforts those who knew and loved her.
Though her time here feels far too short, her life was filled with moments that will be treasured always. Lisa Renee Mitchell's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Celebration of Life Service was held Saturday, April 25, at 11:00 AM Hub 4-Hope Ministry Center 3793 S Hwy 385 Levelland, TX 79336.
