Slim Chickens will continue expansion in Texas with its newest opening at 102 North College Avenue in Levelland on February 19.
Chris Wilson is set to unveil his sixth Slim Chickens establishment at 102 North College Avenue in Levelland, TX.
With four locations in Lubbock and one in Amarillo, the Levelland branch is the next grand opening scheduled for Monday, February 19.
Wilson honed his skills over the course of 25+ years of experience in the restaurant industry where he started as a busboy at 15.
Since then, he has operated a variety of restaurants from a deli, to quick-service restaurants to fine dining.
Wilson is most excited to bring a brand he’s passionate about—with “a far-superior chicken product when compared to most of what’s on the market”— to family and friends in his entrance to the Levelland market.
Aside from bringing its fried chicken and Southern-inspired sides to the area, the new Slim Chickens location in Levelland will also make a positive economic impact with nearly 40 new jobs anticipated for creation in the community.
The Levelland opening is one piece in Slim Chickens’ larger growth story.
Since its founding in 2003, the brand has celebrated over 250 locations as well as international locations in the United Kingdom, with an overall goal of opening 600 restaurants within the next decade.
In Texas alone, the brand has already grown tremendously to 30 locations.
“Our freshly made southern dishes and homemade recipes create loyal guests who feel good about the food they’re eating and we’re proud to be able to grow our loyal fan base into the Levelland market,” said Slim Chickens Chief Operating Officer Sam Rothschild.
By focusing on providing only 100% fresh, all-natural chicken tenders that are buttermilk-marinated, handbreaded and always cooked freshto- order, the brand claims to be committed to providing a “better chicken” experiance. In addition, the chain offers a choice of 17 housemade sauces.
Slim Chickens also offers fresh sandwiches, salads, wraps and its signature chicken and waffles. To offset the savory side of the menu, rotating desserts served in Mason jars are also available.
Slim Chickens opened in 2003 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, with a focus on fresh food with a southern flair in a fast-casual setting. Guests can always expect fresh chicken tenders and wings cooked to order and served with housemade dipping sauces.
With more than 250 locations opened and a following in 34 U.S. states, as well as international locations in the United Kingdom, the brand is an emerging national and international franchise leading the “better chicken” segment with a goal to grow over 600 restaurants over the next decade.
