Mrs. Lois Tidwell, age 96, of Anton, passed away in Lubbock on March 14.
Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at the Anton Cemetery with Pastor Dan Chrestman of Fellowship Church officiating. Open visitation will be held from 127p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Idalou. Arrangements are under the personal care of the Moore-Rose Funeral Home.
Lois was born on October 20, 1927, in Collin County, Texas to Thomas and Nora (Spradley) Talkington. Her family moved to Hockley County when she was two and she would reside in Anton for over 90 years. Lois married James Tidwell on August 7, 1943, in Littlefield. Lois enjoyed the outdoors and taking care of her yard. She was a devoted wife, loving mom, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband James in 1994.
Lois is survived by her children, Sherrel Holley (Glen), Troy Tidwell (Teri), grandchildren, Shannon, Sean, Allison, and Erin, great grandchildren, Nic, Thaxton, Seth, Callum, Ellis, Gabriella, Carson, and Kellan. Online condolences may be made at www.moore-rose.com
