Jose “Joe” Juan Flores Sr. of Levelland passed away from this life on November 10, 2024. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 14 at Head Duarte Funeral Home. Interment will be announced at a later date. Joe was born on October 15, 1957 in Eagle Pass, Texas to Jose and Maria Quintero Flores.
He graduated from Herford High School in 1976. He married the love of his life Celia Amaro on September 2, 1978 in Herford. Joe was a professional welder and was self-employed for over 44 years. He worked for Blakely Construction for 16 years with his certification as a pipe welder. His family moved from Big Lake to Levelland in 2000. His hobbies included leather work, riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and he always took his best girl “Sally” on road trips. He enjoyed cooking outdoors and spending quality time with his family. He would take his pet Zeus with him while he worked on projects. He was a devout Christian, and everyone was his friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jose and Maria Quintero Flores.
He is survived by his spouse of 49 years Celia “Sally” Flores of Levelland, son Jose Juan Jr. (Maria) Flores of Levelland, daughter Joni Marie (Pete Jr.) Cruz of Lubbock and seven grandchildren.
