Funeral services held for Barbara Henderson

BARBARA HENDERSON

Barbara June Henderson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on March 5, 2026, in Levelland, Texas. Born on Nov. 29, 1940, in Wichita Falls, Texas, Barbara was a beacon of love and strength for her family and community.

Barbara married the love of her life Don Alvis Henderson on Aug. 11, 1956 and they began building a life and family together. She was a LVN for sixteen years at the Levelland Clinic, then worked as Deputy Clerk and Reserve Deputy for the Hockley County Sheriffs Office until her retirement twenty-eight years later. She also was involved with her husband Don in many business enterprises including partnerships in Frontier Communications, LTD, Frontier Enterprises, Frontier Tower and D&B Emu's where they raised and sold Emus, and Ostriches. She enjoyed going to family reunions (many of which were hosted at her home) as well as visiting long-distance cousins accompanied by her sister Teresa Vinyard. She loved family and was dearly loved by her family. She was a long time member of Fairview Baptist Church and had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She loved her Church family very much. She entered peacefully into the arms of Jesus where she will be reunited with her loved ones forever in the presence of her Lord and Savior.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Randy Henderson and his wife Debbie, and Ricky Henderson; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored. She is also remembered by her brother Bill Caswell and his wife Mona, her sister Teresa Vinyard and her husband Allen and many nieces and nephews who will carry on her legacy of love and devotion.

Barbara is reunited in death with her cherished husband, Don Henderson, as well as her parents, Tommie Sylvester Caswell and Flossie Rue Purser and her brother, Benny Caswell.

Community members and those whose lives Barbara touched were invited to offer their condolences during a visitation at Krestridge Funeral Home on Mar. 9, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by funeral service on Mar. 10, at 2:00 p.m. , also at Krestridge Funeral Home in Levelland, Texas.
