Hazel Nell Davis, 90, of Littlefield, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, April 21, 2025. She was born on July 6, 1934, in Roxton, Texas to Roy and Noami Steward. She married Carl Davis on March 29, 1959, in Lubbock, Texas.
Hazel and Carl made Littlefield their home in 1963. She worked in the lunchroom for the Littlefield Independent School District and at the Photo Quick. She enjoyed collecting Barbies, and various other dolls. She liked to craft, sew, paint and play bridge. She loved her grandchildren dearly and was affectionately known to them as “Granny”. She was a member of a bowling league and a lifelong member of TOPS Club.
Those left behind to cherish her memories are her two sons, George Davis and wife Jana of Littlefield, Texas, and Roy Davis of Littlefield, Texas; three daughters, Sue Montgomery and husband Dwayne of Amherst, Texas, Vicky Huber of Levelland, Texas, and Vivian Henderson Krum, Texas; sixteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-greatgreat grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Davis; two sons, Carl Davis Jr. (Po) and Lenord Ray Witt; three brothers, R.C. Steward, Allen Steward and Teddy Steward; and three sisters, Joann Randall, Linda Pierce, and Sandra Mae West.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025, in Hillcrest Funeral Home’s Grace Chapel with Pastor Billy Montes officiating and Pastor Jeremy Pierce assisting. Interment followed in Sudan Cemetery. A visitation was held from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the funeral Home.
