LOUIS SEA Louis Martin Sea “Marty”, 66, of Anton, TX, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in Lubbock, TX. He was born on August 14, 1958, in Shelbyville, Kentucky to Louis and Joyce Sea. He married Dianne Davis on November 2, 1985, in Anton, TX.
Marty graduated from Anton High School in 1976. He then went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army. After medically retiring from the Army, he took on the role of “Mr. Mom” and was able to stay home and raise his children. He worked as a substitute teacher for Anton Independent School District and volunteered his time delivering meals with Meals on Wheels. He was an avid sports fan and proud supporter of the Anton Bulldogs and the Kentucky Wildcats. He was extremely knowledgeable about sports and Army statistics. He enjoyed oldies music. He liked to ride along with his son on repossessions. He loved his family dearly and was affectionately known as “Cootie” by his granddaughters. He was a devout Christian and served as a Deacon at Lawrence Avenue Church of Christ in Anton where he taught Bible class for many years.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Dianne Sea of Anton, TX; his son, Bradley Sea and wife Adrianna of Anton, TX; his daughter, Kambree Turner and husband Tim of Anton, TX; three granddaughters, Arianna Sea, Harper Turner, and Eden Sea (on the way); two brothers, Mike Sea and wife Cristy of Anton, TX, and Tim Sea and wife Linda of Taylorsville, KY; two sisters, Barbara Hodges and husband Greg of Anton, TX, and Kathy Stone and husband Craig of Wylie, TX; his parents, Joyce and JD Harrell of Haskell, TX; his aunt, Peggy Shuck of Shelbyville, KY; his uncle, Bud Holmes and wife Venus of Littlefield, TX; a great aunt, Geneva Tackett of Mount Eden, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Louis Sea.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Lawrence Ave Church of Christ in Anton, TX with Larry Bloskas officiating. Pallbearers will be Lynn Stone, Spencer Sea, Jordan Alanis, Carlos Alanis, Dustin Lisama, and Buddy Holmes. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Lemons, Larry Wood, Barry Coffey and Buddy Rodgers. Interment followed in Anton Cemetery. A visitation was held Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
