We all have a story that can only be told using man-made words about the life we lived. We can try to grasp every detail the best we can, but God is the only one who can truly encapsulate every aspect of all our stories in this life. Until He can share that story with you all in the next life, this is everything we believe that Anita would want you to know about her story.

Anita was born on July 26, 1951 in Slaton, Texas to Hipolito and Dominga Lopez., She was one of 12 siblings. As a young woman she worked on the family farm and at the family resturant. If you could not find her working, you could always find her dancing.

In 1971, she married the love of her life Arcadio Ysasage. With this marriage she became the bonus mother of his six children: Harvey, Tomas, Richard, Roy, Gloria, and David. They also raised three children: Rachel, Steve, and Brenda.

She enjoyed fishing, coaching baseball and cooking menudo and making tortillas. She managed to complete her GED while in Wichita Falls. On weekends she would drive to spend time with her sister and brothers in Levelland. Anita and Arcadio were inseparable until his death in March of 1988. She managed to raise three teenagers with the support of family and friends.

As she matured in age, she enjoyed quality time with her family, especially her brothers, sisters, and children. She was always up for a casino trip and a Pat’s Drive Inn Hamburger. She knew how to enjoy herself.

With age came medical problems and decreased mobility, but She made sure no one knew how much she was affected. With the decision from her medical team that she was not healthy enough for a kidney transplant, she chose to stop dialysis and instead spend time with her family. Her laugh will be missed her giant personality and her huge heart. Her favorite color was green just like her gorgeous eyes. S h e was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

At the end of her journey in this world, she was with her family, comfortable and at home-JUST LIKE SHE WANTED.
