ANTONIO OLGUIN SR.
Church service for Antonio Olguin Sr., age 70, of Morton, Texas, were held at 2:00 p.m. , Friday, Mar. 6, 2026 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Morton where Deacon Sergio Vidales of Smyer, Texas officiated. Rosary was said at 6:00p.m., Thursday, Mar. 5, at Ellis Funeral Home in Morton. Burial was in Morton Memorial Cemetery. Antonio died Monday, Mar. 2, 2026 in Morton. was born May 10, 1955 in Cuidad Fernandez, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Abundio and Concepcion (Acosta) Olguin. He married Sylvia Villarreal in Morton on June 30, 1978.
Antonio farmed in Morton for many years. He enjoyed raising roosters. He loved to watch sports and was an avid fan of the L.A. Dodgers, Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. Antonio was a simple and humble man, and treasured time with family. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Morton. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia; his parents; a sister, Dominga Olguin; and a brother, Leon Olguin.
Antonio is survived by his two sons, Tony Olguin Jr. of Morton, Texas and Chris Olguin and his wife, Veronica of Morton, Texas; a daughter, Maria Castaneda and her husband, Juan of Morton, Texas; a sister, Yolanda Olguin of Cuidad Fernandez, Mexico; two brothers, Ascension Olguin and Lazaro Olguin, both of Cuidad Fernandez, Mexico; and his six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
